Fringe Benefit and Indirect Cost Rates
                   for Grants and Contracts FY07

Negotiations have been completed between the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the University of Maine System to establish the employee fringe benefit rate for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2007. We have negotiated two rates, one for all non-faculty temporary employees, and one for all others. These rates do not apply to student employees. The FY07 fringe benefit rates should be used on all grant and contract proposals to be effective July 1, 2006 or later and are as follows:

The research and instruction on-campus rates for FY07 are still under negotiation.  Please continue to use the rates below for the indirect cost rates on new proposals or grant applications until further notice.
